Aeris Energy and Siemens Gamesa in Agreement for a New Brazilian Wind Power Contract

According to Aeris Energy, the company is negotiating a potential contract with Siemens Gamesa in wind energy. Thus, the Brazilian company would provide the firm with equipment with a capacity equivalent to 3.3 gigawatts.

In a statement to the CVM, the company informed that the term of the wind energy contract would last until 2024, with a total estimated value of up to R$ 2.5 billion alongside Siemens Gamesa. However, there is currently no binding agreement and no decision regarding the terms of the potential contract.

Rumors Indicate that Aeris Energy is in the Final Phase of Negotiations with Siemens Gamesa

This information from Aeris Energy and Siemens Gamesa about the wind energy projects comes after an article published by Valor Econômico. According to the newspaper, there were talks between the blade manufacturer for wind power generators and Siemens, according to a source.

After eight consecutive sessions of gains, Aeris’s shares fell sharply this Tuesday. Recovering on Wednesday and falling again yesterday.

Brazilian Renewable Energy Projects

Aeris Energy already has a backlog of over 10,000 wind blades to be delivered over the next 3 years. This is equivalent to everything the company has produced since its founding in 2010. Furthermore, a revenue of R$ 2.2 billion is estimated for this year, amounting to R$ 280 million in EBITDA.

The wind energy company also emphasizes that “the potential celebration of the contract with Siemens Gamesa aligns with its business expansion strategy and diversification of its client portfolio, consolidating the Company’s presence in the international market,” it concluded.

The manufacturer also reported that it will issue debentures worth R$ 600 million. In a market statement, the papers have a unit value of R$ 1,000. The measure was approved after the approval of the company’s board of directors.
